Counselling for Men · Brighton & Hove · Online UK-Wide
No fuss, no jargon, no pressure.
Just a bit of time for yourself.
A straightforward space to talk through what's going on — work, relationships, feeling stuck, or just not quite feeling like yourself.
What works for you is what matters most — you choose how we meet.
Whether that's a walk on the South Downs, a call from your car, or sitting across from each other — it's your call.
Why Men Work With Gary
Men often find it harder to open up. Gary gets that — and works with it, not against it.
Whatever you're carrying — work stress, relationships, grief, anger — there's no wrong answer here. Just honest conversation.
Counselling doesn't have to mean lying on a couch. Gary works in a way that suits men — straightforward, focused, real.
Prefer to be moving? Sessions outdoors on the South Downs are available — many men find it easier to talk while walking.
Brighton & Hove in person, or online from anywhere in the UK — whatever works for your life and schedule.

From Men Who've Been There
"
Gary was able to reach into my head and start to signpost the areas in my life that needed healing. He never judged me, always listened, was there to manage my emotions. I can honestly say, I feel he has started to get my life back.
"
I had a face-to-face session to start and then followed that with online and telephone sessions. Gary understood the anxiety I was going through and he made me feel at ease quickly.
"
Since meeting Gary, I realise he is an excellent counsellor for men wanting to unload the stress in their lives — he thinks outside the box in ways to just get us all talking.
"
It was really good to walk on The South Downs with Gary who listened intently and gave me some excellent perspectives. I highly recommend this approach to counselling.

About Gary
Gary Jessop is an accredited counsellor based in Brighton & Hove with extensive experience supporting men through some of life's toughest challenges.
He runs the Men's Compass Room — a group space specifically for men — and offers walk & talk sessions on the South Downs, because he knows that sitting in a room isn't for everyone.
Gary's approach is direct, practical, and free of jargon. You don't need to have it all figured out before you reach out. Many men find that just having one honest conversation changes things.
Group Support for Men
A group space for men to connect, share, and support one another. No agenda, no pressure — just honest conversation in a room full of men who get it.
Many men find the group format a powerful complement to individual counselling — or a great first step if one-to-one feels too much right now.
Take the First Step
The first step is the hardest. A free 20-minute consultation — no commitment, no pressure — just a chance to see if working together feels right.
Most men say they wished they'd reached out sooner.
